A Front Room in Albury Street.

















This photo dates from about 1911 and could be the interior of 29 Albury Street. This gentleman who ever he was looks in deep contemplation. How will I pay my rent this week?...... still ....got plenty of coal.

    Andy I seem to remember Claire saying that the rosettes either side of the fire place are bell pulls? One would think a strange place to put them but when your sat down with a cuppa char by a warm fire you really dont want to move. the guy might be granddad diggins.

    Further research says this photo may be of a Dentist who lived at 22 Albury St.??? they may have had the same layout as nans house.

    You know John I think your right..I didnt study the pic in close up but looking at the pulls they dont look like they do anything else, open a cupboard etc.

    My mother confirms that this is indeed 29 Albury Street. She has indetified the glass cabinets.
